A story about love, family and second chances
Some stories begin with an idea. Others begin with a single question that refuses to leave your mind. For me, Love, Loss and Statham started with one simple question: Can love survive when life asks more of us than we ever expected?
The answer wasn't straightforward, and that's exactly why I wanted to write this story.
More than a romance
At its heart, Love, Loss and Statham is a contemporary romance. But it's also a story about family, responsibility, grief, hope and discovering the strength to keep moving forward when life doesn't go according to plan.
I wanted to create characters who feel real. People who make mistakes, carry emotional scars and have to make impossible choices. Characters who don't always know the right answer but continue searching for it anyway.
Because that's what makes a love story unforgettable.
The characters
Every character in this story has their own dreams, fears and personal journey.
No one exists simply to support someone else's story.
As I wrote, I wanted every conversation, every decision and every challenge to shape the people they were becoming. Watching those relationships develop became one of my favourite parts of writing the novel.
A story that doesn't end here
Although Love, Loss and Statham tells a complete story, it also marks the beginning of a larger journey.
The series continues with new characters, familiar faces and new emotional challenges, while remaining connected to the world readers came to know in the first book.
If you've fallen in love with Catherine and Erik, there's much more still to come.
Why I wrote this book
I believe the best romance novels leave readers with more than a happy ending. They remind us that love requires courage. That healing takes time, families are complicated and that sometimes the people who change our lives are the ones we least expect.
Those are the stories I love reading. They're also the stories I love writing.
